Junco Technologies: Ecological and Educational Products Print E-mail

Our company offers a wide variety of birdhouses that are built with exact details to be species specific. Our products have both educational and ecological values. They are made for the protection and quality nest building capabilities for these birds. Our collaboration with Bird Studies Canada, North American Bluebird Society and Armonia/Loro Parque Fundacion Blue-throated Macaw conservation program demonstrates our commitment for the education and conservation in the world of ornithology.

Birdhouses and the environment

Our birdhouses are made from recycled white pine and respecting the technical specifics for production, i.e., ventilation, drainage, entrance diameter. An educational information sheet of the bird species accompanies every birdhouse, also how to consider an appropriate location to install the birdhouse and its maintenance. In addition to the information sheet there is also a brochure that has activities adapted for each season of observation, when kept together forms an educational journal on the studied species.

Production and social values

Junco Technologies also advocates social values. Our birdhouses are produced in association with La Fondation Godefroy-Laviolette Inc. For the past 25 years this company has helps young adults who have difficulties with integration into the workforce. Through the Fondation Godefroy-Laviolette these young adults learn to woodwork in the foundation’s own professional carpentry workshop. A team of professionals always supervises the work and Junco Technologies supplies all quotations.

  • Safeguard of the Blue-throated Macaw in Bolivia
We are collaborating for the survival of this species by supplying a “laboratory birdhouse” to the organization devoted to the Macaw’s conservation: Armonia/Loro Parque Fundacion Blue-throated Macaw conservation program.
