About us Junco Technologies is a specialty manufacturer of birdhouses and bird feeders made out of recycled wood. Our primary mission is to create birdhouses that provide a safe and adequate place for birds to reproduce and that help counter the serious threat to biodiversity posed by the continuing loss of habitats that are conducive to nesting.
At Junco Technologies, we believe in more than just selling green consumer products. We are committed financially to research through a yearly scholarship we fund to support the work of a Masters or PhD-level student at a Canadian university. The granting process is supervised by Bird Studies Canada and the Society of Canadian Ornithologists. Junco Technologies guarantees that all of our birdhouses are manufactured in accordance with the nest building requirements and capabilities of each wild cavity-nesting bird species. Our birdhouses represent an Ecological Hope for the sustainable development of our environment. Proof of this commitment are the accreditations we have received from the North American Bluebird Society for our Eastern Bluebird and Tree Swallow birdhouse and from BAT Conservation International for our bat house.
We want to play a role in changing people's behaviour as it relates to the need to protect biodiversity in general. One way we contribute to such change is to give you information on every product you purchase from us. Each birdhouse comes with: · an educational information sheet on the nesting habits of the species in question, along with suggestions on how to install the birdhouse;
