American Kestrel, Falco sparverius
Fairly common in open landscape of brushy fields or along roadsides. This species frequently chooses birdhouses to breed. Breeding extends between April/May in Southern USA to May-June in Canada. This smallest and most colorful falcon feeds on small mammals and large insects.
