Eastern Bluebird, Sialia sialis
This species depends on natural cavities or nests excavated by other species to breed. The birdhouse presented here has been approved by the North American Bluebird Society, a non-profit organization to promote the reestablishment of the Bluebird in it’s natural habitat in North America. The Bluebird nests in open landscapes (parks, fields, orchards, burned habitats). It nests from May onwards and breeds only once during the breeding period.
